Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce – BH Banter May 2012

It was a gorgeous evening on Tuesday and the view from The Miramar over Bournemouth bay was gorgeous.

The Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce’s monthly event BH Banter was very busy and there were lots of new faces, as there always are every month, networking over a glass of bucks fizz and some lovely canape’s.

Last night we said a big thank you to Julian Fenn the chambers’ solicitor who is stepping down from his roll. Julian is a fellow Midlander and we always exchange an ‘alright’ in our brummie accents, whenever we see each other. He is such and gentleman and has the most wonderful moustache, I hope he will still put in an occasional appearance at the chamber events.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the photographs below, please let me know and I will pass your details onto the chamber.

The Talented Joanne Dewberry

Product photography can be such fun (yes really!) and especially when the products are associated with parties!

The lovely Joanne Dewberry the brains behind Charlie Moos and Joanne Dewberry.co.uk asked me to do a refresh of her product photography plus some new head shots which capture her and her hectic busy life.

I love Joanne’s sense of humour and she works incredibly hard looking after three children and fitting in her  busy business life around them.

If you need help or advice on matters of social media, including twitter, blogging and facebook or matters relating to PR then she’s your woman!

Check out her website, www.joannedewberry.co.uk which is filled with lots of information and if that wasn’t enough, you can pre-order her new book Crafting A Successful Business

turning your craft hobby into a business; is there no end to her talents – I don’t think so!

Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce – Beales Breakfast 2012

I absolutely love my position as the official event photographer for the chamber, it’s the antithesis of my day job, a still life and product photographer. There I get to spend my days pretty much on my own photographing inanimate objects (not that I’m complaining, I love what I do) but at the chamber events, I get to speak to lots of lovely people, have a friendly bit of banter, network and take their portraits.

I drove to work after the event on Thursday morning, with a big smile on my face, as I had used my new purchase, a Gary Fong flashgun diffuser, with lovely results. This piece of kit, enables me to photograph people using my flashgun and bathes them in a lovely diffused light avoiding the nasty reflections you get in spectacles.

If you would like to purchase any of the photographs then let me know via my contact form and I will pass your request to the chamber.

Bournemouth Chamber Of Trade & Commerce – BH Banter April

The view from the Miramar Hotel last night, overlooking the bay of Bournemouth, was absolutely beautiful. It’s such a gorgeous hotel to host BH Banter event in.

Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce – March Beales Breakfast 2012

Since my last Beales Breakfast in February, I am now leaving home to head off to Bournemouth in daylight, although last Thursdays light was filled with fog.

The beauty about having the networking breakfast meeting at Beales department store, is that it has a whole wall of windows, which are North(ish) facing and provides beautiful soft light, a photographers dream – plus some very willing people, only too happy to pose for me so early in the morning – thank you!
